Reseña:

Vomitory se formó en 1989 por el guitarrista Urban Gustafsson y el bajista Ronnie "Ripper" Olson. Bajo la influencia de la creciente escena underground y bandas como Sodom, Napalm Death, Slayer y Venom, su sonido se convirtió muy pronto en death metal puro. Durante la década de los 90, difundieron su nombre en la escena underground mundial al lanzar algunas demos y un vinilo de 7 ".

En febrero de 2013, la banda anunció que se separarían a fin de año. Su espectáculo final fue el 27 de diciembre de 2013.

El miércoles 16 de agosto de 2017, la banda se reunió para un espectáculo solitario en Summer Breeze Open Air en Dinkelsbühl, Alemania. El propósito de la reunión fue honrar a Michael "Mike" Trengert, que fue el director de la etiqueta de Metal Blade Records Europe durante muchos años. Fue el responsable de firmar la banda para la etiqueta en 1999 y también dirigió y organizó Summer Breeze Open Air hasta su fallecimiento en 2013.
